Artificial Nature 2024-2026

What happens when the spontaneous mark of the human hand meets the computational logic of a machine? What kinds of spaces and structures emerge when authorship is shared between artist and a generative systems?

Artificial Nature explores the creative dialogue between human intuition and artificial intelligence in architectural and artistic production. These speculative structures born from an experimental workflow where abstract hand-drawn sketches are transformed into complex spatial forms through generative AI.

The process begins with intentionally ambiguous drawings: visual seeds that carry no fixed meaning. These sketches are processed through a personal, visually-coded-generative workflow, producing imaginative and often surreal spatial imagery. While the AI operates on probability and learned patterns, the artist curates and refines the results through intuition and visual sensitivity.

The resulting works are Hybrid Artefacts: speculative structures that exist between digital and physical, human and machine authorship. They challenge conventional definitions of design and creativity, presenting AI not as a replacement, but as a creative collaborator. The dynamic between human and machine is neither fully controlled nor entirely random. Instead, it unfolds as a generative dialogue that produces unexpected and synthetic results.
