Crime and Punishment (2023)
After committing the murder, Raskolnikov becomes increasingly consumed by guilt and paranoia, and his small, cramped room becomes a site of psychological torture. He becomes convinced that he will be caught and punished, and he becomes increasingly isolated from the world around him.
As his mental state deteriorates, Raskolnikov begins to feel a strong urge to escape his old room and find a new place to live. He eventually finds a new room, which is described as bright, airy, and full of light. This new space serves as a physical representation of his psychological transformation and his newfound hope.
